Leveling Lincoln won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Educational and Informational Program!

Thank you to all the wonderful people of New Rochelle who sat with us and honored us with their stories. To the parents in the Lincoln neighborhood who fought for educational equality for their children. And to the kids and parents who are still fighting for integration and equality today, like IntegrateNYC.

Thank you Arden Teresa Lewis the director and executive producer for asking me to come aboard and help produce this project. Thank you to my amazing husband Andrew Jordan who edited this film and helped us shape this story. It’s been an incredible journey. We’re definitely the little indie that could! And, of course, thank you to my parents for your endless support and encouragement, for teaching me the importance of education and for making a stand when you thought I wasn’t being challenged enough in school.

Thank you to The Chimaera Project who believed in our project and helped us with a grant to finish it! Thank you to the talented voice actors Mara Junot JOE OCHMAN and Lawrence Adisa who were a part of this film and everyone who helped make this possible! If you’re interested in watching the film, it’s available on the PBS app! https://lnkd.in/g_YHdX-k
